Embedded technology, computer vision technology, human-computer interaction technology, GPS positioning technology, and GPRS communications technology are increasingly widely used in the automotive sector. The paper focused on the demand for automotive safety, and analyzed, researched, and conducted experiments on application system, technology methods. The video surveillance system that the paper investigated is conducive to reduce economic losses, promote automotive safety technology applications, protect consumer safety of life and property, and maintain social stability.The paper takes the embedded ARM processor as the core, to design a car video surveillance system for auxiliary car safe driving. The system contains two main functions, namely video recording and GPS mobile alarm monitoring. It also contains two auxiliary functions: map navigation and video music entertainment.Car video surveillance system is featured by function practicality, ease of operation features. It also covers automotive active safety technology and automotive passive safety technology features.The paper presented a vehicle theft prevention method based on parking GPS positioning relative movement. This method gets the vehicle location information via GPS technology. When the vehicle moves a greater distance than the distance data preset by the system, vehicle location information can be sent to the system pre-set maximum of three mobile phone number through the GPRS network.The paper refers to the SEGOS-RE process to establish a relatively complete system demand model. Use car video surveillance system diagram to represent environment that the system involved, and use car video surveillance system target identification and exploded diagram illustrates the correlation between the target system, and use car image the car video surveillance system case diagram to construct the functional structure of the system.The paper designed AT070TN83 V.1 LCD interface circuit, HST-TPA7.1G touch screen interface circuit, AT43301 based USB expansion interface circuit, NS-1315 GPS module interface circuit, and GTM900 C GPRS module interface circuits. The paper also described the corresponding device driver program.Paper designed mobile alarm function flow, and the system design process reflects the innovative ideas in motion alarm functionality. The system functions are coded; functional testing and module testing are also conducted. The testing result shows that the interface is simple, the operation is easy, the program branches is correct, the video image display clearly and smoothly, GPS positioning and GPRS communications meet the requirements. The test results verify the effectiveness of program design and implementation.
