Vehicle Tracking Method Based On Video Technology

The vehicle tracking method based video technology,which is practically studied in recent years because of its easy-implementation and easy-maintenance characters. The vehicle tracking algorithm, which is most important algorithm of vehicle tracking system, is the key point and the difficulty in domestic and foreign at present.It divides the vehicles tracking system into two technical modules in this dissertation: the vehicles examination module and the vehicles tracking module, and introduce the topic methods in each module. In the vehicles examination module, it choose the examine-line algorithm based on background-difference method to examine the vehicles by the analysis of some topic vehicles examination methods, and study the background picking-up and updating methods and the threshold-choice method mainly, and write the computer programs to realize the algorithm, validated by a serial frames which were gathered really. In the vehicle tracking module, it mainly study the Optical Flow Equation (OFE) and the three-step block matching algorithm, and choose the later by writing computer programs. Then, it unifies the examine-line algorithm based on background-difference method and the three-step block matching algorithm, proposed one vehicle tracking algorithm based on motion estimating method, and utilizes three-step block matching algorithm, to carry on the movement estimation, and then realizes the algorithm and carries on the vehicle tracking algorithm to a section of video which were gathered really. The results show that the algorithm can realize the vehicle tracking effectively.
