RV reducer is widely used in the field of industrial robots, CNC machine tools, radar and other precision machinery because it has the characteristics of small size, large transmission ratio, light weight, large load capacity, high rigidity, high transmission accuracy and efficiency, and stable transmission. At present, the domestic RV reducer market is monopolized by some foreign companies. The domestic RV reducer has the problems of high vibration and noise, short service life, etc. And one of the main reasons is the lack of understanding of its dynamic characteristics.In this paper, the Pro/E 3D parametric modeling technique is adopted, the three dimensional parametric model of each component of the RV reducer is established, and the RV reducer is assembled with the structure characteristic of RV reducer and the assembly relation between the parts; Then the 3D model is simplified and introduced into ADAMS software, defining the constraint relations between the parts, and the kinematic model and dynamic model of RV reducer are established. The influence of the first stage and the second stage transmission on the dynamic performance of the RV reducer is analyzed; The influence of the short amplitude coefficient, the needle tooth center distribution circle radius, the radius of the pin and the number of the cycloid gear teeth on the dynamic performance of the RV reducer were investigated using single factor analysis method.The results show that, the fluctuation degree of the output shaft speed is mainly affected by the second stage transmission. The influence degree of the second stage transmission on the crank shaft is greater than that of the first stage, but the influence degree is less than that of output shaft speed, the mesh force between cycloidal gear and pin gear fluctuate periodically, which is due to the cyclodial gear revolution (the crankshaft rotation); As cyclodial gear modification increase, the amplitude value of mesh force also increase; The stress of revolute pair of cranked bearing is huge, which will leading to the bearing destroy. The influence degree of the cycloid gear and pin gear meshing force from large to small are the number of the cyclodial gear teeth, the short amplitude coefficient and the radius of the center of the needle tooth; The needle tooth radius is relatively small. The research results have important theoretical guiding significance and reference value to the design and manufacture of RV reducer.
