Ship-ship collision is one of the frequently encountered water transportation accidents, refers to the damaging accidents caused by ships contacting each other at sea or other navigable waters. Such accidents usually cause hull damaged, environmental pollution, casualties and other consequences. According to the related statistics, ship-ship collision is the most common accidents in water transportation. Recently, with the rapidly development of shipping business, transportation on water is becoming more and more busy, the ship-ship collision consequences also become more important, especially for the developing small LNG ship on inland river. Therefore, the research about ship-ship collision problem has the vital significance, this is conductive not only to the environment and the safety of life, but also to the ship’s speed limit with certain theoretical basis.Because of the big deformation and nonlinear phenomenon during the collision process, the related research is very complex. With the rapidly development of computer technology, more and more researchers use the finite element method during the numerical simulation study on the problem of ship-ship collision. Therefore, on the basis of forefathers’research, the finite element analysis software ANS YS/ls-dyna was applied in the research of ship-ship collision. In this paper, the concept of collision, the research background, research significance, some existing research methods, the selected research method and its basic theory were introduced. The ship-ship collision numerical modeling process was described. According to the target ship, the geometry model was established, the meshing, the parameter setting and the definition of output result were processed. Finally, the calculated results were analyzed by post-processing software LS-Prepost, including strain diagrams, stress diagrams of ship structure and energy curves. According to the regression analysis of data, the significant conclusions were deduced. |
