| Tendering and bidding activities are the commonly used transaction methods in road construction projects under the market economy system. By means of tendering and bidding, to choose the most eligible bidder to complete construction projects.Road construction projects are with the features of highly cost, long project schedules, complicated contracts management, and always involving several departments and wide range of personnel. Therefore, the significance of projects tendering and bidding is obvious. Based on the research and analysis of the current status of Qingdao road construction projects tendering and bidding activities, the article analyzes the issues of the current tendering and bidding market with typical practice examples. Furthermore, by using the advanced market experiences of other countries, the article proposes measurements for standardization developing and strengthening the management of the road construction tendering and bidding market in Qingdao. The proposed measurements will contribute in effective selecting of eligible construction team, reducing project cost, improving project quality, and ensuring a healthy and orderly development of Qingdao road construction market. |
