Study On The Application Of Vernacular Landscape Elements In Chengdu Small Town

Along with the rapid development which is Chinese urbanization process, the integration of urban and rural areas of Chengdu are also in the rapid development, and building in Chengdu small towns is in fully pushed,in which vernacular landscape has been gradually declined and assimilated as also as the vernacular landscape elements have been destroyed and impacted. The small towns which lies between urban and rural areas, not only owns profound regional traditional culture, but also has an important role in the urban-rural integration.In this special and historical duty,the landscape design of small town tends to the city mode and mordernization, the original nature of the traditional vernacular landscape elements has gradually disappeared in the development in result. Nowadays, people return to realize the "nostalgia" feelings established on the small town, and the whole society begins to remember the "nostalgia".Therefor, pursuing vernacular landscape elements with regional characteristics is very important.In Chengdu samll towns, the traditional landscape design in urban areas reflects the image of the local humanities and culture,while in rural areas,the unique regional characteristics of landscape design is from the carrier in ChuanxinLinpan containing the "field, forest, house, yard, river",which are directly or indirectly performancethe local cultural charm in Chengdu Plain. In order to inherit such a unique nostalgia in Chengdu Plain for generations to generations,and continue the traditional local culture,this thesis will take the Chengdu small town as the research object, studying the application of the vernacular landscape elements under the new situation.There is rich,varied and deep culture Vernacular Landscape elements in Chengdu small towns which is the "back garden" of the ChuanxiLinpan, and the traditi-onal regional town landscape for the system with the features of landscape architec-ture of urban image. This discourse will summarize the integration and promotion of the vernacular landscape elements in urban and rural areas of Chengdu small towns,analyze the ways of expression, and study its application.Taking Qingliu town Xindu district of Chengdu as an example, vernacular landscape elements will be used in the landscape design of urban(street and landscape nodes) and rural(medic-al point guard and community) areas, as also as in ecological environment, in orderto evoke memories and thoughts for "nostalgia" of people.First of all, this treatise reads the concept of the vernacular landscape, vernacular landscape elements, and Chengdu small towns.Combined with the data of investigation, it summarized the basic content of vernacular landscape elements, its classification, the vernacular landscape elements’s application of the principle and the significance in Chengdu small towns which is’from the characteristics of vernacular landscape elements. Secondly, the scope of the study is from the plain to hills including rich terrain changes,and then carefully to public landscape,living environment,and ecological environment landscape in urban and rural areas.Through literature analysis, field survey method, diagram method and comparative induction,it is to excavate the vernacular landscape elements of Chengdu small towns(including local materials,traditional culture, folk customs, regional features), exploring the way of existing and creatingin vernacular landscape elements of Chengdu which is in the change of times.Finally, around the application mode of vernacular landscape elements in Chengdu small towns, basic on this theory framework,Qingliu town Xindu district of Chengdu as an example, through the comprehensive research to the present station and the excavation of ernacular landscape elements in Qingliu town,refining the design technique of vernacular landscape elements in Qingliu town which is under the changing of times,in order to make vernacular landscape sustainable.In this way, I hope that through this study providing some valuable reference and method for Chengdu small town landscape design, making the regional culture and nostalgic diligently pass on, so that our urban social traditions are able to be well preserved, social landscape system being more and more abundant.
