By the year 2010,our country 60 years or older population has reached 178 million,82.96 million disabled. As the growth of the age, function of old people gradually degenerate and lost the independent living skills, which greatly increase the burden of their family and caregivers. In order to effectively solve the problem-the elderly and disabled people are in urgent need of assistive devices in daily life, the state supports a series of assistive devices for rehabilitation project. The aid bath appliance for the serious disabled is one of them.According to the request in bathing for the older and the disabled people, and summarizes the latest research results of foreign assistive devices, design a set of safe, reliable, low cast aid bath appliance for the disable, which includes of a set of massage bathtub system and two kinds of transfer devices. According to the principle of mechanical design, I use the IDEFO modeling method to analyse the function of the designing system. Based on ergonomics principle, according to the human dimension of Chinese and demands in caring for the old and disabled, design the size of the aid bath appliance, then establish the virtual model of aid bath appliance using CAD. Determine the feasibility of the model through the mechanism motion simulation and interference in the virtual models. After i change the model several times to make sure the model is OK, determine the design scheme, then draw the two-dimensional machining drawings by CAXA to manufacture the product. Test the products repeatedly to ensure the reliability of the products.In this paper, use the finite element analysis software ABAQUS to create the element modeling of the lift transfer devices, and analyse them, then verify the validity of the model by comparing them with manufactured product. According to the analysis, summarize the influence when some components’ dimension is changed. Then based on the center of gravity, the stability of the model,select some groups of appropriate dimensions to be analysed so that to improve the model. Get one group of the most appropriate dimensions by contrast of the analysis results.Through the improved design, while the deformation and stress are in the design requirements, we reduce 15Kg mass of the lifting device, which makes the shifting device more concise, more cost-effective, shift better and enhance the competitiveness.
