Reinforced concrete frame structure has many advantages such as light self-weight.flexible architectural space layout,simple and fast construction technology,currently,it occupies an important place in today’s construction market,and it is expected to play an irreplaceable role in the construction market in the future.In today’s economic society,under the premise that the frame structure itself is safe and meeting the design specification,in order to make the structure safe and available as well as reduce the construction cost,how to reasonably optimize structure through certain means and methods is a problem which is a common problem in practical engineering and this problem has sparked the great attention.This paper takes an office which is located in NanYang SheQi and construction by reinforced concrete frame structure as the research object,and uses PKPM first to do the regularly initial design of the framework structure.This paper regards specification requirements as the constraint conditions,and regards the optimal construction cost as the objective function,using MATLAB as the optimizing tool to optimize the initial design and the optimized beams and columns’ sectional size is obtained.Then,analysis on the optimized frame structure is carried out,such as internal force,structure displacement,period ratio and rigidity-to-gravity ratio,through comparing with the current specification to test the reasonable of the optimized results and comparing the construction cost before and after the optimization,we can know that the result is reasonable and the economic benefit is obvious.This frame structure’s optimization design is based on engineering instance it can provide a certain reference for other similar structure.
