| As "kidney of the earth", wetland is one of the most important environmental resources for human survival. It has extremely rich biodiversities and functions in water conservation, flood storage, reduction of environmental pollution, and ameliorating weather conditions as well. Besides, wetland has great worth in economic, landscape, and science popularizing. Because of the lack of wetland protection awareness, a great part of wetland was misappropriated for economic purposes, resulting in sedimentation accumulation, excessive sewage, and a lot of environmental pollution. Nowadays, the area of wetland is keeping shrinking and as a result, the function of wetland is keeping degenerating. So the primary task of our wetland management is to expand the wetland area. For those places without conditions for nature reserves, the wetland Park building will be an important way for the environmental protection. The establishment of wetland park can not only protect the ecology from the landscape destruction and pollution caused by sightseeing, but also prevent the over-exploitation of wetland.Xinglong wetland park is a typical temperate zone wetland ecosystem, and has well preserved rivers, swamps, ponds, and reservoirs. This park is quite important in flood storage, protection against drought, water conservation, water purification, siltation land reclamation, and landscaping. It has high representative in artificial wetlands, thus is worthy in protection and scientific research. By relying on investigation of climate, soil, biology, and landscape of Xinglong Wetland Park of Yanzhou City, combing with the theory of wetland research, this report summarized the main problems existing in the wetland. During the design process of the Xinglong Wetland Park, we used natural design techniques around the protection and restoration of the original wetland landscape, and proposed the environmental priority principle, sustainable development principle, and harmony character principle for the design of the wetland landscape to resolve these problems. Under the guidance of these principles, based on the factors of water planning area, stress factor, and functional location of the Xinglong Wetland Park, we divided the Wetland Park into "one gallery four areas" and targeted for landscape designs by functional area. Through ecological designs of the Xinglong Wetland Park, the wetland ecosystems are relatively intact for protection and restoration; the qualities of water and environment are greatly improved; the type and quantities of wildlife resources increased significantly; the aquatic plants became diversified; and the vegetation coverage reached more than 50%, gradually showing a natural landscape of great symbiotic. |
