Along with the rapid development of social economy, gradually development of science and technology, and more engineering construction projects emerging, we are paying more and more attention on the quality of construction. Project quality is the eternal theme of engineering design, construction, and management of a project. For the project party, poor engineering quality control or delay in progress will cause huge economic losses. For construction party, construction quality is the lifeline of enterprise, therefore, in order to maintain a sustainable development, an enterprise must put quality control as its first priority and by doing this company can build up its reputation and achieve company’s long-term goal. Accordingly, the quality of a construction project not only directly related to the applicability of the project, but also closely links to people’s life and property and further links to company survival and development. Therefore, to strengthen construction quality control has very important practical significance.We believe that “the quality of construction builds up company’s reputation, the reputation extends the market of company, the market increases company’s benefits, and the benefits promotes the efficiency and development of company”. These are the keys to enterprise survival and development, and must be highly evaluated. Therefore, in order to achieve the expected control effect, it is crucial to pay attention to the implementation of control measures and to the quality control of construction. It is also crucial to well plan feasible quality control procedures to ensure the construction fully implemented. At present, construction quality control becomes more and more systematic, standardized, scientific based and these make construction quality, construction cost, construction safety, and construction period great important, and will further enhance economic benefits, social benefits, and ecological benefits. So, facing the increasingly fierce competition in the market, we must fully realize the importance of construction quality control and the necessary to develop effective work plan. Through constant practices in daily work, the construction could be improved to maximize the implementation of work plan and to achieve the desired control objective.This paper covers following main contents:(1) to analyze the background and significance of project, theory origin and development of quality control management, the overview of quality management at home and abroad so as to ensure the project construction quality with strict implementation of the “three-review” and “three inspections” roles;(2) to analyze the basic theories and methods of construction quality management and to make sure the project could be well controlled and implemented following the fine quality management model and the methods of control processes for a project;(3) taking a bid for sewage treatment plant expansion and standard raising project as a case-study to elaborate on the characteristics and the key points of the project and construction method, etc;(4) to demonstrate the defects of construction management, to present effective methods and to analyze the quality control results of engineering construction according to the actual conditions of the project. To sum up, the strict implementation of the construction quality control can ensure the quality, scheduled completion, and expected social and economic benefits of the project.
