Being the foundation engineering of the road, subgrade plays an important role in the stability of the road. In road widening project, sometimes the differential settlement between the new and old subgrade caused the disease that reduces the comfort and stability of the road. Liquid fly ash has characteristics of light self-weight, low price, facilitate construction, without rolling, small compression, small settlement, which can effectively settle the problems such as the stability of embankment、the differential settlement etc.Combining with the Tang-Jin high way widening project, this article includes the following analysis:According to sources of fly ash in Tianjin and the actual situation of this project, material composition and raw performance of liquid fly ash is analyzed through laboratory tests; designing test program by orthogonal test to ascertain the best mix of liquid fly ash in subgrade filling project; systematic analysis of the relationship between dosage of every raw material of fly ash mixture and road performance, including fluidity, shrinkage, strength, compressive modulus of resilience and water stability. Through the systematic analysis, this paper proposes the construction technology liquid fly ash embankment. The good stability of liquid fly ash embankment is proved by monitoring data of entity project and results of the finite element method. The results of this paper provide technical support of the popularization and application of liquid fly ash subgrade filling in Tianjin and other soft soil areas, as well as the recycling of liquid fly ash is further promoted, the waste of resources can be reduced.
