Visual language,which is rich in connotation and varied in expression form,has been used in the design of commercial space environment.The basic tasks of commercial activities are to dissemiate information,to promote consumption,and to gain recognitions and get positive feedbacks of the product from the target consumer group via the design of commercial space environment.Therefore,commercial space environment supports not only the circulation of commodities,but also the information transmission.Vision,people’s most acute and accurate way of perception,receives the most information load,and is particularly important to the construction of people’s spacial sense.In this information explosion era,the fast updated vast amount of information increases the visual burden of the receivers,causing people tohold a more doubtful and indifferent attitude towards information than ever before. In this situation,the contemporary commercial culture is faced with the practical problems of how to attract people’s attention quickly and express ideas accurately.At the same time,with the development of commercial culture,purchasing is not only a way of consumption,but also a crucial cultural recreation activity.The design of commercial space environment has become part of the companies’ marketing strategies and marketing techniques.It is also an intermediary to spread marketing ideas and brand culture.So, how to highlight the marketing idea and the brand’s theme image has become extraordinarily important.It can be achieved by activating the receivers’ senses such as sight,hearing,touch and ect.,and utilizing the design of commercial space environment.By summarizing the key elements of the commercial space environment and the rules of their expression,this thesis delves into the various possibilities of the future development of the retailing commercial space design in our country.
