Research on damping performance of energy dissipation structure has an important significance for using and popularizing energy dissipation structure.This paper mainly analyses on damping performance of two additional damper structure:structure of additional metal damper, structure of additional oil damper. The study uses single particle system as the research object. Trying to get the conditions that the displacement and acceleration response of the original structure were both decreased through analysing earthquake response of the original structure and energy dissipation structure,which will provide useful conclusions for better effect about energy dissipation structures. The main research work and results are as follows:1. Firstly, we get the factors which affect the seismic response results of structural through the theoretical deduction to the vibration differential equation under the action of sine wave.And it is proved that the acceleration and displacement response of structure is less than the corresponding response of the original structure exactly through adjusting the damping ratio and the periodic of structure,which has been verified that theoretical formula is correct and effective through the computer program finally.2. On the basis of the theoretical formula which is derived by the vibration differential equation of single particle system under the elastic stage,the researchers studied on dampering performance of additional metal damper,trying to find favorable conclusions that making the displacement and acceleration response of structural reduce at the same time,figuring out the distinction of restoring force model between the original structure and additional metal damper structure firstly,then establishing the restoring force model of added metal damper structure.At the same time,we used seismic effecting coefficient curve and equivalent damping ratio to solve the issue of the new stiffness and damping of structure when adding damper to the energy dissipation structure.Then we wrote computer program based on the parameters as well as the dependent variable determined.Finally, on the basis of the results of numerical analysis, we obtained that adding metal damper can only make the displacement response of the original structure decrease.3.On the basis of the theoretical formula which is derived by the vibration differential equation of single particle system under the elastic stage,the researchers studied on dampering performance of additional oil damper structure,figuring out the distinction of restoring force model between the original structure and additional oil damper structure firstly when using time history analysis.Then we established the restoring force model of added oil damper structure,determining the parameters as well as the dependent variable and analysing by computer program.Finally,we obtained that the displacement response of the structure with oil damper was less than the original structure.But absolute acceleration response only reduced when structural period smaller than 2pT or 2zT(pT stands for ground motion period),the result increased when structural period greater than 2pT or 2zT.4. We used single particle system as the research object, and using the structure with oil damper as the example model. After that, we analysed the influence of the seismic peak on seismic response of seismic energy dissipation structure when selecting the seismic peak as variables.
