Study On The Development And Planning Of Urban Customized Shuttle Bus

With the rapid development of economy and rise of income of the citizens, more attention is being paid to the timeliness, comfort and safety of traffic. The development of diversified transportation service with higher standards, more efficiency, more safety is the necessary trend.Customized Shuttle Bus was the new pattern of bus with the trend of diversification of the public transportation, which met the citizens’ transportation demand of rush hours. Firstly, the concept of Customized Shuttle, the elements of service and the principles of operation were analyzed in the paper. With the passenger attributes, operating company and the appointment compared with regular buses, the superiority of safety, comfort and convenience were confirmed. Secondly, based on the analysis of demand of the public transportation, the models of site and route design and price making were set up, and a case was introduced to confirm the effectiveness of the models, which provided the theory basis for overall and objective design of the Customized Shuttle Bus route.According to the national situation, assessment indicator system and the assessment model of Customized Shuttle Bus development were set based on the deviation maximization method and extension matter-element analysis method. Finally,the practical situation of the design was evaluated in this paper, the timeliness, difference of transportation and economical efficiency determined to be critical factors, and advices were proposed according to the speed of Customized Shuttle Bus,the quantity of service and marketization. In a view of science, theoretical advice for the application and development of customized shuttle bus in other cities was suggested in this paper.
