The rapid development of the domestic automobile industry has not only led to a rapid rise in the total amount of domestic car, but pushed up the domestic demand for auto spare parts. However, due to the limits of the technical level, the technical specifications, the cost on operation and research cycle, the quality testing for auto spare parts is still in its infancy for China’s automobile industry, which sets an obstacle for domestic parts manufacturers to do product quality testing effectively.On this condition, a contact performance testing platform for auto spare parts is to designed under the requirement of FAW-Volkswagen Company to realize the measurement and analysis of engagement/extraction force of socket clips, the push/pop force of spring parts, and the vibration signals of a loudspeaker with bracket. Automated testing on contact performance for these spare parts is expected by the simulation of the actual working environment and the use of advanced modern digital signal processing technology.TMS320F28335 acts as a main controller for the testing platform. The PWM pulse output circuit, ADC digital to analog conversion circuit, SCI serial communication circuit are included in the hardware design of the testing platform; the generation of PWM pulse, the AD sampling and preprocessing, the SCI serial communication are accomplished by debugging through CCS; the motor motion control and display functions, the serial data storage and graphing functions, the extraction and filtering of valid data functions are achieved by designing through VB.Contact performance testing platform for auto spare parts can be applied to the three auto parts mentioned above. This testing platform is of great reliability, stability and high accuracy which can reach the specifications by vividly reflect the actual physical changes during the working of auto spare parts.
