Research On Application Of GRC In Building Exterior Design In Xiamen

Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, which is called GRC for short, has excellent material properties, simple processing technology and relatively low price. It has been widely used in the construction field. The exterior decoration components and curtain wall plates made of GRC are favored by architects. In Xiamen, GRC components have been used for a period of time and shape its special present situation. This article, through the investigation and research on the present situation of the design and production and construction of GRC component in the wall decoration field in Xiamen, hopes to clear the possibility of GRC for architects, finds the existing problems in the practical application and to explore the reasons and gives the constructive strategies as well.Firstly, the article introduces the appearance and development of GRC, clear the reason of creating this material and the problems people want to deal with at the very first. Secondly, it summarizes present situation and prospect of GRC in China and abroad and in Xiamen area, analysing the rationality and possibility of the application. Then the article analyzes and summarizes the application situation of GRC in Xiamen in detail, including inductive analysis of the main types of GRC decoration component application in Xiamen and the design and production and construction of GRC decoration component in the whole process, then find the existing problems from the actual situation of GRC wall decoration components currently used in Xiamen. Finally, put forward reasonable application strategy of GRC in Xiamen, and get the conclusion of this article and the prospect of application of GRC in Xiamen in the future.
