The existing hospital buildings of reinforced concrete frame structure severely damaged in the earthquake. After many earthquakes, as the implementation of the new code, which improves the seismic fortification category of hospital buildings, cause most of the hospital buildings can not content the seismic requirements of the existing code.In this thesis, some research on reinforcing the existing hospital buildings by adding steel reinforcement and strong column weak beam. Using the method of physical simulation experiment to determine the feasibility of reinforcement effect and reinforcement technique, and combined with practical engineering, the seismic reinforcement technology of hospital buildings has been summarized. The main conclusions and results are as follows:(1) After system research, abundant information of hospital buildings of reinforced concrete frame structure has been summarized, including: plan view size, array of structure, material performance and existing problems, and so on. And it analyzed the inadequa te of hospital buildings of reinforced concrete frame structure under seismic action.(2) Additional steel support can improve the overall seismic capacity of the structure, make the plastic hinge appeared at the end of frame girder firstly, improved the damage form. And steel support can damage firstly to absorb seismic energy in the event of earthquake as the seismic defense, and then to reduce the earthquake effect to the destruction of the structure. Besides, for improving the structure of the lateral stiffness, the structure of the limit of displacement and torsion has a significant effect.(3) After reinforcement with open-angle seam floor of the frame structure, yield load decreased significantly. It is thus evident that this method can effectively improve the stress of the structure, and make the plastic hinge appeared at the end of frame girder firstly. So it can achieve the transfer of the plastic hinge, and really achieve strong column weak beam for frame structure.(4) Based on the physical test and calculation model of reinforced specimens, and the seismic strengthening of reinforced concrete frame structure capacity formula are discussed, the lateral stiffness correction formula is given after concrete cracking. Calculation results are in good agreement with experiment results, so it can be used for the reinforcement engineering. After reinforcement with open-angle seam floor, it weakened the increasing role of the intraplate reinforcement on the bending properties of beam end, so it can be used for the reinforcement engineering.(5) From the structural system, prefabricated reinforced concrete floor, staircase, beam-column, beam-column joints, easily collapsed parts and weak torsional parts, etc, the seismic reinforcement method what are suitable for hospital buildings of reinforced concrete frame structure are summed up and summarized. References and recommendations of seismic strengthening design and construction of hospital buildings of reinforced concrete frame structure are provided to the relevant personnel.
