Along with emerging of cities, the development of the city can be understood as a coordinated, adaptive, developmental process that is between city construction environment and natural environment. Dynamic balance of the city and the natural ecology has gradually been broken with the progress of science and technology, city and population expansion. The high-density development of the cities has become an important topic in our country and even in the world. However, because of the special geographical environment, the relationship of people, city and ecology in the mountainous cities is more prominent and complex. Therefore, the paper started to research and explore the mountainous high-density, beaause Chongqing Univerisity appointed to take a sub-project named “Study on effectiveness optimization technology of high-density developmental spatial layout in the mountainous town groupâ€, which belongs to “Study on the key optimization technology of high-density spatial effectiveness in town clusterâ€(No. 2012BAJ15B03).The Three Gorges Reservoir Area(TGRA) is located in the southwest region of China and the intersection of Hubei and Chongqing. The TGRA becomes the golden section of the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River that has the important role of the East and the west. The unique landscape distribution but also gave birth to a unique form of the city, its steep environmental capacity and smaller population capacity of the region is located in the mountain city is high-density characteristics. As we all know, public space is the symbol of city environment quality. Cities’ public space in the TGRA appears shortage and disorderly development and other issues, the construction and development of cities’ human settlements is blocked under development of high-density.In view of these, the paper selects the modern high-density cities in the TGRA as study object, and with its public space as the research goal. In order to solve the essential problem of modern high-density cities’ public space in the TGRA, the paper analyses the current situation of high-density in the TGRA, and then to clarify the reasons and trends for the development of modern high-density cities. At length the paper determines the position of the high-density cities public space in the TGRA. And stand in the high density perspective, the paper analyses the specificity and problems, also summarizes the demands and make a full range of reconsideration for high-density cities’ public space. The paper develops a suitable evaluation system for the construction criterion of modern high-density cities’ public space in the TGRA, which takes Wushan as a typical case and finds out the optimization strategies for the mountainous high-density public space.The paper does research works as four follows:Part one includes Chapter 1 which has put forward the question. This part is mainly to determine two points: first, background. That is why study high-density, why should be settled in the public space, why choose the three issues discussed in the TGRA on the background of the research, so as to determine the research object. Second, core. Through the core object of research- concept of modern high-density cities in the TGRA and research review in detail, the paper clarifies ideas, identifies the main problems to be solved and the purpose and significance of the research, analysis and study to lay the foundation.Part two includes Chapter 2 and 3 which has analyzed the question. This part is comprehensive analyses of modern high-density cities’ public space in the TGRA. One of the comprehensive analyses is the specificity. Thereby analysed reasons for the formation of the “high-density†of modern cities, the strength and weakness of modern high-density cities, the paper determines the total target of modern high-density cities’ public space in the TGRA. The other one of the comprehensive analyses is the characteristic. Through the reconsideration for high-density cities’ public space and analyses of the specificity and problems, thus the paper generalizes demands of high-density on the construction of public space in the TGRA.Part three includes Chapter 4 and 5 which has solved the question. This part mainly proposed solutions based on the analysis of the problems. One solution is to determine construction quality evaluation system of modern high-density cities’ public space in the TGRA which identified 4 sub projects, a number of elements of target layer and the index of evaluation factors, and through the expert evaluation to determine the index weight, the evaluation of the level of analysis. Solution two is a specific application. The paper tests the evaluation system, on the other hand to provide a reference for the optimization of high-density cities’ public space. Using Wushan County public space as a typical case, the paper makes the overall evaluation and finds the construction characteristics and space problems, and targets the raised optimization strategy of public space in Wushan County.Part four is summary. This part is the review of logic and content in the overall research, and refines the research results of the thesis. At the same time the paper analyzes and sums up the deficiencies in the research process, which point out the direction to improve the study. |
