With the combination of embedded systems and bus technology, the automobile industry has been developing rapidly, especially after the conception of the Internet of Vehicles, the automotive has been guided to be more intelligent, secure and interconnected. Automotive systems are no longer limited to the electronic control functions, while the vehicle information system with a variety of services is becoming increasingly important. Traditional vehicle embedded application is relatively simple, especially for a small in terms of security. In order to expand more vehicle systems functions and integrate the embedded technology and automotive safety technology deeply, three typical applications were chosen, Functions including vehicle fault detection and security early warning based on embedded platforms were designed during the research. The main work is embodied as follows:Firstly, by understanding and analysing embedded technology, OBD and vehicle collision avoidance system, a vehicle terminal system with ARM9 processor core, expanded with OBD module, CAN bus module and display module hardware was designed, which received the tire pressure, temperature conditions and vehicle speed information collected by a slave controller via the CAN bus or serial bus, various cost-effective sensors and interface chips were chosen.Secondly, by analysing the vehicle collision avoidance system and the situations in which alarm should be suppressed, the design of the rear-end collision distance algorithm was completed, and anti-collision control system hardware structures were analyzed.Thirdly, in order to run the software properly, the embedded Linux operating system was studied based on the hardware platform, and customization of embedded Linux system was implemented by combining ARM9 S3C2440 A processor and peripheral hardware interface device, which included Bootloader transplantation, kernel configuration and file system as well as the designing of driver, which provided hardware environment for software design in modules.Finally, with the combination of multi-thread, QT/Embedded interface technology and database technology, a peripheral signal acquisition and real-time early warning system was implemented. The entire system has been tested to be able to meet the requirements.
