With the rapid social development and the acceleration of urbanization,leading to more and more people in the cities,the problems of traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious. The main contradiction is that the construction of urban transportation infrastructure can not meet the increase need caused by the urban transportation.To promote the public transportation and the bus operation efficiency is the main way to solve this problem.Therefore,it is absolutely important to improve the transit information system to enhance its sharing rates and upgrade the service of the whole traffic system.This thesis shows the key technology of passenger information system first,and according to the features of this system,there are three independent subsystems:the vehicle terminal, the server terminal and the station terminal are studied.The vehicle terminal,consists of two parts:intelligent reporting system and vehicle central control system based on Android,realizing functions such as the vehicle GPS positioning,transmitting the position information to the server terminal,station reporting and the indicator light reporting.The server terminal,which has processing power,the main function is to receive information from the vehicle terminal,visually display the location of vehicle on computer screen, and after processing send to the station terminal.The station terminal mainly complete the design of electronic bus stop board, its function is to provide real-time bus information to passengers,including real-time traffic information and the bus arrival time.After the test of analog simulation, it makes sure the feasibility of the research.The research, which is digitization、 intelligent and visual, it has broad application prospects.
