In this dissertation, the grinding machine which is designed by the aspheric parts laboratory in Changchun University of Science and Technology based on the tangent rotary method is the simulation object. This method can adequately address the original processing difficulties, and the problem of high cost. With using this virtual simulation system, the machining process can be demonstrated clearly and smoothly.Taking Visual C++ as the platform, and using OpenGL, this powerful cross platform graphical interface, imports the 3D machine model rendering by 3DS MAX. And then, the blank workpiece, grinding wheel are modeling by the OpenGL database with the function of it. So that the virtual machining environment establishment totally completed. Modeling for the machine tool motion, the motion simulation can be done based on the VC++ function.Design a serial port communication module to transfer the real-time data obtained by the grating ruler in the machining process to the virtual simulation system, generate a real-time simulation through the motion module. With the double buffer technique of OpenGL, the virtual machining process is displayed smoothly. The interpersonal interaction interface is established in MFC VC++ framework.
