Pneumatic throttle valve is a kind of pneumatic components which is widely used for pneumatic transmission and control system to controls the speed and stability of the actuator. Good reliability of pneumatic throttle valve is an important condition to ensure the normal operation of the control system, so the throttle should have the required valve orifice area curve and flow control curve, the reasonable leakage levels, the higher service life, and so on. These properties are computed and analyzed to ensure the high quality of throttle valveIn this paper, the design of the throttle valve adopts throttling grooves spool form, through both high and low pressure port to control the main valve. Through the theoretical calculation, the three forms of throttling notches equivalent throttling area and throttling area characteristics have been analyzed and determine the suitable pneumatic pilot valve throttle notch form.This paper is mainly for the reliability analysis of regulating mechanism includes the design and steady state characteristics of mechanism analysis and regulatory agencies checking. The design size of adjusting mechanism and a sealing form are determined by the requiring conditions of the throttle valve, Steady-state characteristics of the throttle valve adjustment mechanism are analyzed. And by using FLUENT software to simulate the steady flow field under different opening degree, obtains the throttle valve flow control curve, the pressure field, the temperature field and the stress of the valve core.Based on the theory of Fluid-Structure interaction. The flow field affect the performance of the spool is simulated in the ANSYS Workbench software to determine the amount of deformation under different opening of the valve and the stress field and the service life. Results showed that spool meets the reliability requirements.
