In regard of the annual manufacture amount China’s shipbuilding industry can be neck to neck with countries like Japan and Korea. And it’s on the way to become the world’s most powerful shipbuilding country. However, we are behind in core technology of shipbuilding, manufacture management levels and etc, especially in hull process lane construction. Under current situation, we must carry out revolutionary measures aimed at the laggard shipbuilding technology in order to pump up the competitiveness.Lean shipbuilding mode emphasizes on reducing the consumption of resources during the trimming transporting and storing of the components and parts. Judging from the domestic research status of hull process lane construction and the gap between us and countries like Japan and Korea, study ofmanagement and distribution forpalletized lane benchmarkof section assembly will be an important issue.This assay is based on the research on the difference and gap between foreign shipbuilding enterprises and domestic ones in regard of components lane palletization. And probe into the components lane palletization of subsection which is the bottleneck China’s shipbuilding industry encountering based on the real manufacture of a major domestic shipbuilding enterprise. Main work and achievement include:(1) Explain the importance of pallet control in shipbuilding through analyzing the theoretical basis of pallet control and come out with the palletization of components in shipbuilding process. Make the principles of dividing component pallet according to the manufacture conditions of W enterprise.(2) Divide a 180 thousand tonnage ship according to the hull process lane construction concept and principles of dividing subsections. Pick the typical subsections of every type as the research subject for standards of subsection component lane palletization and point out direction for further research.(3) Introduce the meaning of DAP, standard engineering drawing and lane distribution and their importance in ship manufacture. Then based on it, carry out hierarchic analysis of every typical subsection’s assembly process in order to classify and quantify each section’s requirement for components palletization lane.(4) Describe and quantify the manufacture resource constraint of W company. Simulate the production conditions and work plans which function as the background of the researchfor balance between palletization lane requirements and constraint and get a reasonable lane standard.Domestic shipbuilding enterprises must implement hull process lane construction to realize lean manufacture and management which makes the use of components spatially in lane, timely in sequence.
