Research Of Condition-based Maintenance Of Relay Protection For Huizhou Grid

Relay protection, condition monitoring, condition evaluation, condition based Relay protection system is the important equipment which guarantees the safe and stable operation of power system, its maintenance is the key content in the operation. But according to traditional principles, maintenance is periodic, without considering status and requirements of the equipment. So easy to appear excess overhaul and inadequate maintenance, do not meet the needs of power system reliability and economy. This paper based on this situation, to carry out surveillance for the protection of the state, the state assessment, condition-based maintenance and other research work, including the following:(1)Analyze the defects and shortcomings of traditional equipment maintenance strategies, elaborate the meaning and purpose of the research in condition-based maintenance. Study the current status of development in the field at home and abroad, to understand the status of condition-based maintenance in relay protection. To make clear that state evaluation is a prerequisite and basis of condition-based maintenance. Summarizes major problems and difficulties in this regard.(2)Describes protection status monitoring method in current. Analyze how the results of the monitoring data reflect the performance of the device status. According to the operation and fault characteristics of relay protection, summarizes the ideas and principles of state evaluation. Using relevant data to build evaluation index system, and then propose a status evaluation mathematical model based on the device lifecycle.(3)Study and formulate the strategy of relay protection condition-based maintenance. Analysis the failure process, appearance and features of microelectronic component, propose the principle of condition-based maintenance of relay protection. Set maintenance time according to P-F interval in equipment failure analysis, and develop appropriate maintenance strategy.(4)Combined with the actual situation of Huizhou power grid, get the overall evaluation of the operational status of all equipments. Refine and analyze the evaluation results for the protection status. Make the maintenance strategy according to abnormal state of the relay protection equipment. At last, analyze the effect of condition- based maintenance produces effect from the aspects of safety, economy, and reliability.
