Hydrostatic bearing system is an important foundation for component manufacturing equipment. With the development of manufacturing equipment, the demand for high performance hydrostatic bearing system is more and more strong. The purpose of this paper is to design and manufacture a hydrostatic bearing test platform. In the same time, with the simulation of flow field in hydrostatic bearing, the effect of the film thickness, enter oil parameters, bearing speed and other parameters are analyzed. Then a reference for the structural design of hydrostatic bearing is provided.Firstly, according to the design requirements of static test stand, the static test stand is divided into four parts which are bearings, sensors, data acquisition, and dynamic loading. On the basis of the early program of the static pressure test platform, a detail analysis of the bearing part is made. Then the performance characteristics of the bearing are analyzed with simulation. Based on the characteristics of the velocity field in bearing, simplified the model and calculated the flow formulation. Using a block approximation method, the finite element mesh model bearing of the velocity field is build.On these bases, a detail simulation analysis of the temperature rise problem of the bearing is done. The affect of the speed and the oil film thickness on the temperature rise is analyzed. Thus, we can approximate think that there is same temperature rise with the same speed. With this conclusion, the conditions of changing viscosity caused by the temperature rise can be introduced to the simulation of the velocity and pressure field.Finally, according to the simulation data,three important performance parameters are analyzed which are pressure velocity field, the oil flow and the rotational resistance. Then, the uncertain project of the test platform is finalized, and the installation of test platform is completed.
