Rotary drilling rig is a kind of piling machine which is suitable for building infrastructure projects such as hole drilling. It is featured with little vibration, low noise, huge torque, multifunction, high efficiency, fast speed of drilling, energy saving and environmental protecting etc. With the gradual development of the infrastructure construction in our country, rotary drilling rig is widely used in large-scale infrastructure construction and the real estate construction. In order to adapt to the market demand and to change the backward status of domestic product technology, improving the old products and developing the new ones are particularly important. Therefore it is of great practical significance for the analysis and research of the rotary drilling rig and to guide the design. To further improve the overall design level of the working devices and their mechanical properties, this paper conducted the following research work:This paper focuses on a new structure rotary drilling rig. The finite element structural analysis program has been compiled with the tool of APDL(known as ANSYS Parametric Design Language). It has realized static analysis and dynamics analysis(modal analysis and transient analysis). The structural analysis software has also been developed with Visual Basic 6.0. The software can adjust different component parameters and working conditions, and it is capable of analyzing and displaying results and generating an overall report eventually, all by calling the backstage process of ANSYS.The overall analysis has solved the problem of low accuracy and hard determining boundary condition. The analysis result provides a basis for the structure improvement and the weight reduction design. The natural frequency extracted from modal analysis provides a reference data for avoiding the resonance phenomenon. The software which realized the rapid analysis can simplify the operation and conduce to shorten product development cycles and improve work efficiency.
