AMT(Automated Mechanical Transmission) holds the merits of high efficiency,low cost,and then it is the key part of development of automatic transmission. But the AMT control system can learn with little experience, the verification of most of the development system by vehicle road test, time-consuming and can not be measured in some test cases. Using the hardware in the loop simulation technology in function development, software testing and data matching stage of TCU development, we can save manpower and financial resources and also can greatly improve the development quality, reduce the development time. Therefore, the study of the AMT realtime model based on hardware in the loop has practical significance.In this paper, with a TCU, the AMT realtime model development based on HIL in Labcar_PT simulation platform is achieved, and the effectiveness of control strategies is also verified. Firstly, this paper of the AMT analyzed the hardware and software systems of AMT. Based on the actual parameters of a vehicle, the AMT offline model is built, and it has been optimized to achieve realtime working. Secondly,we achieved AMT dynamics analysis during shifting process, then developed AMT shift control strategy based on two parameters (throttle position and vehicle speed) and also achieved the engine control during shift process based on CAN bus. And download it to the TCU for road test; Finally, the AMT realtime model was integrated to the whole vehicle model, and finished the hardware configuration of the model to achieve the AMT model development based on hardware in the loop realtime simulation. By comparing the simulation results with the road test results, we can verify that the hardware in the loop simulation system can meet the requirements of the actual functional test, and it can be applied to TCU development;the development of control strategy during the shifting process can realize effective control of AMT.
