To developing public transportation is an effective way to alleviate the problem of traffic congestion in cities, and urban rail transit become the core of the urban public transport network as the advantage of large transport capacity, punctuality, fast, light pollution, safety, comfort and of occupy less urban roads. The transfer station of urban rail transit is a key node in the network, in addition to with the features of a general rail transit station, it also can realize the transfer function between each rail lines for passengers, which plays an important role in the operation of the entire rail network. Convenient and quick transfer system can not only meet the needs of passengers, but also can help improving the economic and social benefits of the city’s public transportation.By collecting the operations of completed transfer station, we classified the transfer form in the initial. And we described in detail the macro model, mesoscopic and microscopic models these three kinds of pedestrian flow models based on the data statistics and analysis of the transfer station’s infrastructure. What’s more by comparing the advantages, disadvantages and applicability of each model, as Metro transfer station for example we use Anylogic simulation software to construct a simulation model which suit for the simulation process of passenger flow in urban rail transit transfer station, and identify the transfer system’s bottlenecks, and proposed the optimization program.In this paper, taking Xi’an North Avenue transfer station for example, through field investigation and data collection, we use Anylogic simulation software to simulate the urban rail transit transfer station, identifying the system’s bottlenecks, and proposed the improvement measures. Using the simulation software to evaluate, providing decision support and aided design for facility design and operations management of the transfer station.
