This topic belongs to Shaanxi Province “13115” Scientific and Technological Innovation Project “Study on key application and technology of methanol vehicle clean energy”(Item Number: 2009ZDKG-64).While the energy crisis and the environmental issue become increasingly severe, in order to relieve the pressure brought by the shortage of the petroleum resources and improve the environment quality, the development of the new energy sources has been even more attractive. Methanol gasoline has been a contender as an alternative fuels for gasoline, for its low pollution to the environment. The popularization of the methanol automobile can not only optimize the energy structure, but also conform to the sustainable development strategy. However since the standard system of the methanol petroleum in our country is imperfect and the methanol gasoline controller is obviously limited by regions, which lead the problem that the different kinds of methanol gasoline can’t be applied to the methanol automobile.On the basis of the past research of the “Study on key application and technology of M85 methanol gasoline” project, the fuel automatic identification system has been developed, which makes the control system be able to identify the type and model of the fuel in the automobile fuel tank. The measurement capacitances for different types of the methanol gasoline are calculated according to the permittivity obtained from measurement by the capacitive sensor. Then the capacitances are transformed to the direct differential voltage signal through the VC ' switching circuit. After DA transformed, digital voltage signal obtained. The automatic identification function of the controlling system to the different types and models of the fuel is realized according to the mapping relationship among the permittivity, capacitance and voltage of the methanol gasoline.On the basis of the combination of the automatic fuel identification system and the ratio of the single injection quantity between the methanol gasoline and the 93# gasoline, which refers to the injection signal stretch ratio, the controlling system adaptively control the engine’s injection controlling signal, and helps the methanol automobile adapt to different types of the methanol gasoline. As a wrap up of the project Shaanxi Province “13115” Scientific and Technological Innovation Project “Study on key application and technology of methanol vehicle clean energy”, the system perfectly satisfies the demands of the tasks, and does well in enhancing the unification of the standard for the methanol gasoline and the popularization of the methanol automobile in our country.
