At present, energy consumption and environmental pollution in the world are increasingly serious, hydrodynamic mechanical grader cannot meet the requirements of the current society, the grader must be carried out technical innovation. In this paper, the operation performance of the electric drive grader and the hydraulic drive grader is prepared, the objective is to determine a more suitable transmission technology for grader, which can meet requirements of power and reduce emissions. This article starts from the analyses of traction performance and load characteristic of the grader, and job performance comparative study of hydraulic machinery and electrical drive grader was carried out by simulating on the basis of reasonable matching. Main work contents: the kinematics and dynamics of the grader were analyzed, the load characteristic was studied, and random load was simulated by simple harmonic periodic functions; the transmission scheme and parameters matching were studied for the electric drive grader and its generator, motor, super capacitor were carried on the selection and calculation; the pump and motor of the hydraulic drive grader were selected and calculated, dynamic adjustment method and algorithm of which displacements were given and the system pressure was determined on the basis of reasonable matching control research of engine and hydraulic system; electric drive and hydraulic drive grader were modeled which performances under different working conditions were simulated and studied by AMESim, simulation results have guiding significance to improve the level of current grader technology, and the innovation methods that the electric drive system is simulated by AMESim has a certain reference significance to other mechanical electric drive systems.
