Research On Intelligent Technical Condition Evaluation System For Small And Medium-span Arch Bridges

With the development of society, the growing of traffic and traffic loading, more and more bridges need to be maintained, so the bridge managers ’ work become hard.As the traditional manual methods can not satisfy the need of management for existing bridges, various Bridge Rating Systems are developed for bridge managers to manage existing bridges. Taking the bridges’ healthy diagnostics and technical condition evaluation as practice background, studying feasible methods of intelligent management, and building complete and reliable Bridge Information Management System, this dissertation presents the Bridge Evaluation System for the medium and small span arch bridges, which is efficient to manage basic information of bridges by managers. Research content is as follows:(1) The arch bridge’ damages and reasons are analysed. The suggestions of preventing damage are presented.(2) The small and medium span arch bridge technical condition evaluation system is established.(3) Based on development platform of Microsoft Visual Studio, applying Microsoft SQL Server database and C#, an intelligent evaluation system for medium and small span arch bridges is developed, so the intelligence of technical condition evaluation of arch bridges is realized.(4) Intelligent Evaluation System for medium and small span arch bridges has been applied successfully to the evaluation of Yan Xi bridge.
