The Design And Optimization Of Low-voltage Circuit Breaker Operation Rod

Safty is the first priority of power production. This article analyzes the Electric power safety research domestic and abroad. However, the low voltage security tools research is lack of related articles in area of both domestic and aboard power safety research.This paper is based on the safety power production combined with economic profits and social effective. The paper is focused on the design project of low-voltage circuit breaker operating rod from Urban Power Supply Company, SMEPC. This paper verifies the designing and production value of low-voltage circuit breaker rod through those aspects: analyzing the operation status of the low-voltage circuit breaker, dangerous sources evaluation, scheme design, simulation, design optimization in AutoCAD, mechanical and electrical tests, analyzing of operation, preparing work instruction books.During the simulation tests of the design process, some mistakes are found in design of the rod length and the shape. Therefore the length of the rod was adjusted, the shape was redesigned to wedge-mouth form. With those adjustment, the effective of the rod is improved.SACE S6 low-voltage circuit breaker operating rod, which is with a long handle, is designed to replace manually-operated circuit breaker, so that the safety of the low-voltage circuit breaker would be improved in the process of "closed". The operation rod would solve the problems in regards to the low-voltage circuit breaker smoking, blast injury and operators’ safety,which improves the security of the operation of ABB low-voltage circuit breaker. With strong practical and economic value, the rod is spread in the power production work.
