Research On Interior Public Space Of High-rise Office Building

Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) In recent years, with the quickly developing pace of urbanization process, urban industrial structure has greatly changed, which leads to the increasing of office workers in cities, and the growing demand of office space correspondingly. As the contradiction between the expansion of population and the limited land resources is sharpening, the construction of high-rise office building has become a hot spot currently and will be the main form of the office building in a long time. Under the constant effort of architects, the construction of high-rise office building in China has made great progress, and the relevant theoretical research has also gradually improved a lot, especially the external image, the internal office space, structure and the optimization of the standard layer, etc However, due to many reasons, the development high-rise office building in China started relatively late, and experienced a interruption. Thus, relatively speaking, there are lots needed to be improved, among which, interior public space is the one that has been overlooked. This part is an important supplement for office space, and the research and design of interior public space can effectively improve the quality of the whole office building space, as well as improving work efficiency of office staff and by offering appropriate places to relax.To begin with the study of relevant theories, the thesis then makes a further research on practice, to be specific, taking Shanghai as example, and selecting 15 representative high-rise office buildings as cases to study. The author firstly makes a survey and field research of these cases from two dimensions, namely the objective aspect— the basic data information collection and the subjective aspects—users satisfaction evaluation questionnaire survey on each part, then analyzes these data and information, at last makes a comparison from horizontal cases level and vertical time dimension. What’s more, a correction and adjustment on thesis statistical data analysis is made from the subjective satisfaction survey questionnaire aspect.Based on the conclusions drew from the statistics and comparison research, optimization suggestions on the related high-rise office building interior public space are summed up, in hopes of making a supplement and data updates on the data in relevant standard, and of providing some reference and guidance to the future design of high-rise office building interior public space on the internal components, space layout and space scale, etc, in order to create a more comfortable interior public space of high-rise office building.
