Due to its excellent temperature stability property, epoxy asphalt have been wildly used in many projects, but there are still problems in domestic epoxy asphalt such as poor construction property and long traffic opening time. TAF epoxy asphalt has in some degree changed this situation, but the cost is relatively high. Thus, prepare a kind of epoxy asphalt which has excellent construction property and pavement properties can help popularizing domestic epoxy asphalt.Based on the demand of construction adaptability, a kind of HA epoxy asphalt is prepared. In order to have a better compaction characteristic and anti-deform property, course aggregate void filling method is used to design the composition of epoxy asphalt. Research on the void ratio and strength of mixture under different composition, resin content and different epoxy asphalt is conducted to compare the construction adaptability of TAF epoxy asphalt mixture and HA epoxy asphalt mixture. A new method is proposed to study the difference in traffic opening time between HA epoxy asphalt mixture and TAF epoxy asphalt mixture. And the pavement properties of SBS modified asphalt mixture, TAF epoxy asphalt mixture, HLJ epoxy asphalt mixture and HA epoxy asphalt mixture is studied as well as the influence of different composition and resin content.Results show that, HA epoxy asphalt mixture has similar construction adaptability with TAF epoxy asphalt mixture in 165~175℃, and better in 155℃, it has a higher strength growth rate than TAF epoxy asphalt mixture in any temperature and can open traffic in 3 days under 25℃. The increase of resin can result in worse construction adaptability and better pavement properties, HA epoxy asphalt mixture performs nearly the same with TAF epoxy asphalt mixture which is beyond HLJ epoxy asphalt mixture in strength, high-temperature stability and water stability at any content. The dense gap-grade has better compaction characteristic and anti-deform property and at the same time has not any bad effect in pavement properties. Based on the deck pavement test section of the Han-Shi highway, the study results is verified.
