In recent years, with the improvement of national and comprehensive national strength,country urbanization and new rural construction is accelerating gradually. The tower crane is more and more important in national construction. Limited by the enviroment and scale of construction, a new type tower crane named self-rected tower crane is favored more and more.The crane has compact structures, can set up by itself and can be moved conveniently.In this thesis, the dynamic characteristics and structure of self-rected tower crane QTK16 is analyzed in operating mode. The operational principles of the crane are introduce.In operating mode, fast lifting process and trolley luffing process were analyzed.Through 3D modeling software Pro/E a 3D model of the self-rected tower crane is completed. Putting the3 D model of the self-rected tower crane into dynamics simulation analysis software ADAMS,a virtual prototype model is built. Then for each operating mode the kinematic and dynamic characteristics are analyzed, forces on each hinge and the motion curves are obtained. The cueves are analyzed and verified by theroy methods. According to the curves of forces, the dangerous working condition is identified, and the structure of the crane is analyzed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Stressand strain diagrams are obtained and compared with allowable ones to verify the rationality of the design.
