There are two important parameters in the field of radar and communication, frequency and power. It is very important to obtain these two parameters precisely for every signal. Frequency counter and power meter is such an important measuring instrument, which is used to obtain the two parameters. With the continuous development of electronic technology, the measurement functions of frequency counter and power meter are widely enhanced nowadays, which has greatly met a variety of measurement needs.The main content of this thesis is to make the measurement instrument not only have basic parameter function, but also have various extended functions by designing and developing the software based on certain frequency and power measurement modules. In other words, the ultimate goal of this design is to implement a good human-machine interaction based on a given hardware platform,which can ensure correct communication between users and measurement modules. Users can get intuitive and accurate measured parameter values through the LCD window by operating the buttons on the instrument panel in accordance with the specified sequence of operations.This thesis implements a good frequency counter and power meter interface, by combining the RT-Thread real-time operating system, the core processor of ARM Cortex-M3, LCD display and keys with the main features of the frequency and power parameters.It is a typical application of embedded development. With this interface, the instruments have not only the basic measurement function, but also have auxiliary measurement functions, such as graphical display of measurement results, interval measurement, statistics, recording common configuration parameters, setting measurement range, which will greatly facilitate measurement.
