| Campus landscape is an important part of campus environment, and a good one would greatly attribute to the education of middle school students and their physical and mental health. With the development of secondary education, the construction of middle school campus has entered the high-speed period. During the campus construction, some school just attaches importance to buildings, while the landscape is ignored. At present,some problems existing in most campus environment, such as the monotonous landscape style, lack of spatial variability and less plentiful plant communities.Based on the theory of landscape architecture, environmental psychology and ecology,the thesis firstly analyzes the development of Chinese and western school campus landscape,and then compares the difference among the middle school campus, primary school campus and university campus. Based on middle school students’ psychological characteristics and behavior characteristics and combined with the problem of campus landscape in our country,the thesis sums up the suitable school campus landscape planning and design principles:(1) The landscape planning and design should be conducted under the condition of ensuring the campus safety.(2) Do reasonable partition on campus on the premise of meeting the basic needs.(3) Create various spatial forms to satisfy the demand of middle school students’ psychological behavior with the idea of people-oriented.(4) The campus landscape planning and design should be consistent with the site situation and combine the ecological principals.(5) Create unique campus landscape in combination with the regional characteristics and the campus historical and cultural characteristics.The new campus of the first senior middle school of Lankao county is located in the northwest of Lankao county in Henan province. And the land use of the project is 137921.94 square meters. The site is flat and next to road, which makes its traffic very convenient.While there are two main problems during the design:(1) How to integrate the campus culture of the first senior middle school of Lankao county into its campus landscape.(2) How to make the campus reflect the regional characteristics of Lankao county, thus giving teachers and students the sense of belonging.To solve these problems, the thesis analyzes the natural and cultural condition of project region. Then with the design elements of “question mark†and “bulbâ€, the fine tradition of Lankao county, such as advocating culture and attaching great importance on education, and the campus culture of the first senior middle school of Lankao county are integrated into the landscape design under the theme of “learn and askâ€. The campus will be divided into five functional areas: entrance landscape area, core landscape area, teaching areas, living area, sports area. Using campus landscape elements as starting point, the first senior middle school is designed as a poetic campus full of vitality, ecology and culture.Above all, the following conclusions are summarized: student’s behavior characteristics play a leading role in the design of campus landscape; design should be people-oriented,which should meet the needs of students to arrange campus partitions and create a variety of space; the design of campus landscape should not blindly follow suit but to building a unique landscape according its own cultural and regional characteristics. Hopefully the above analysis may give reference to same cases. |
