Dry ash handling system is a thermal power plant in the production process is an important part. With the implementation of new environmental laws, as well as fog and haze intensifies the moment, people are increasingly demanding environmentally improved. Compared with wet ash, dry ash can save water and reduce pollution levels, and to achieve the comprehensive utilization of fly ash, so in recent years almost all new large coal-fired power plants are set up dry ash handling system. Future thermal power plant ash mode will also gradually changed from wet ash dry ash. Domestic and dry ash control system, the vast majority from the traditional, conventional relay logic sequential control system, a gradual transition to a programmable logic controller(PLC) is an important core of the control system, there are some PLC as the core of distributed control systems. Thermal power plants using PLC dry ash handling system console and in most cases, the method of combining simulation screen, analog screen is used to dry ash handling system for remote monitoring and operation of state operations, multi-use console handle switch for local control system operation as well as the valve switch.Taking God Guohua Sanhe Power Plant Phase II 300 MW machine for specific research object, the ash programmable system development work. According to the production needs of the plant dry ash handling system, and put forward the corresponding overall design. Basis by the status quo of the ash control systems and a detailed analysis of the future direction of development, as well as programmable logic controller(PLC) applications, system components, and the role of the working principle, classification and characteristics of the control system design study, according to meet user requirements, safe and reliable, to adapt the principles of development, design and application of PLC developed a new control system for ash, complete hardware design and software design of control systems. Use Concept 2.6 software tools developed self-diagnosis means, in situ setting, program modules associated with the remote set communication, input signal processing, operation control, the event storage. Also use the software to configure the site ifix3.5 operation screen, so the user interface is simple and easy to use. Power plant ash handling system according to the technical specifications within each valve piping, the control system to take place manually + remote programmable mode of operation, and enables interlock switches and fault protection device.This paper developed ash control system, after a number of simulation and debugging online system has been successfully applied to God Guohua Sanhe Power Plant Phase 3, Unit 4. After prolonged use show that the ash control system is easy to operate, reducing the operating power plant operating personnel, and low failure rate, high reliability and effectively improve the unit’s reliability and economy of operation.
