Thermal power generation is very popular in our country. Conventional thermal power unit consumes a large of coal resources and water. Compared with conventional power unit, the water consumption of air-cooling unit has been greatly decreased. So Air-cooling unit has been widely used in northern China.Air-cooling unit collects condensed water from the air-cooled platform for reuse, and condensed water flows back to condensed water collection devices through the condensed water pipes. Since there is a huge altitude gap between the ground and air-cooled platform, huge impact on pipes causes vibration when the condensed water comes down, which has negative impact on safety operation.The 3D model for direct air-cooling unit’s condensed water pipes has been established in this paper. Multiphase flow model of commercial CFD software-FLUENT has been used to simulate the pipe flow. A program that increasing orifice plates and elbows in vertical section of condensed water pipes has been proposed to weaken vibration. Tecplot360 and Lab VIEW have been used to analyze simulation results for testing the effect about new program. The result shows that new program can weak vibration of condensed water pipes, and the effect is obviously.
