During peak operation, high-capacity and higteparameter unit frequently starting and stopping, and under AGC adjustment, the power grid requirements high load response speed of boiler, also the pressure and temperature inside boiler drum and superheated steam header elevating rate is fast, boiler drum and superheated steam header withstand the alternative stress and high temperature, the material will produce the fatigue and creep damage, significantly reducing the life of the boiler. Therefore, it has a important significance for improve the boiler life and safety operation to analysis stress and assessment life of the boiler drum and header.One power plant in Inner Mongolia, it’s No.l boiler is 600MW subcritical pressure controlled circulation boiler, boiler capacity is large, complex, and the drum with a sandwich structure, with peak load and run under AGC adjustment. In this paper, we will takes the 600MW subcritical pressure controlled circulation boiler as the research object, use the basic theory of finite element, the first use numerical calculation software ANSYS, according to installation location of the Temperature and pressure sensor on drum and header and the DCS system operational data, establish the drum and header simplified model. Then analysis the temperature field, thermal stress and total stress field of header and drum barrel, based on AGC adjustment analysis the influence of the varying rate on the thermal stress. Finally, according to the results of stress analysis, using the standard method of ASME to evaluate boiler drum and header’life.
