With the rapid development of economy, the social progress puts forward higher requirements for the operational efficiency of passenger transportation. High-speed railway and Passenger Dedicated Lines as the safe, clean and efficient way of transportations, have been concerned by more and more countries, and become the main trend of modern railway passenger transport mode. In recent years, China’s high-speed railway and passenger dedicated line make a spurt of progress. The achievements attract the whole world’s attention. Among them,the Datong-Xi’an passenger dedicated line is the important part of the high-speed railway passenger dedicated line network of our country. At present, the part of Xi’an to Taiyuan has been opened to traffic.As the newly built passenger dedicated line, the carrying capacity is one of the most important evaluation indexes, and the train tracing interval time is the important factor for calculating carrying capacity. So Calculating and analyzing the tracking interval time of EMU on Datong-Xi’an passenger dedicated line have important significance on study its carrying capacity and improving its transportation efficiency.This thesis mainly studied the tracking interval time of EMU on Datong-Xi’an passenger dedicated line under the condition of quasi moving block. Begin with the basic principle of CTCS-2 train control system, we firstly Determined the component of tracing interval time of EMU. Then we established some kinds of mathematical calculation model of tracing interval time of EMU, and analyzed the values of the parameters of these models. On this basis, we calculated the tracing interval time of EMU in section and passing through railway station on Datong-Xi’an Passenger Line, which is under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan Railway Bureau(North Taiyuan to South Yongji). By checking the EMU running record data file, we adopted the method of actual measurement and theoretical calculation to analyze the tracing interval time of EMU when arriving at and starting from the key railway stations of the line.Meanwhile, we also analyzed the train control system of this line and The influence of EMU driver’s manipulation on EMU tracing interval time. At last, we combed theoretical analysis with the operation practice, to give some advice on improving carrying capacity and transportation efficiency of the line by shorten the tracing interval time.
