The Alarm System Of Hefei Ligth Source Based On BEAST

The Hefei Light Source (HLS) is a VUV and soft X-ray synchrotron radiation source. The HLS was put into operation in January2015after the upgrade project. As the important part of the control system, the Alarm System has also been upgraded in the upgrade project. The Alarm System is used to monitor equipment status in real-time and issue alarm information, it has an important role for guaranteeing the stable operation of HLS.This paper makes a survey on the alarm system of large experimental facilities over the world. Based on the survey, we design and develop the Alarm System of HLS. This system is developed under BEAST which is developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, it monitors alarm status of the record in IOC by Alarm Server of BEAST. JSP is adopted to develop the Web of alarm information inquiry, which is used to inquire alarm information. Furthermore, the program of sending alarm information based on SMS and Email is developed by the thread of Java, this program sends the urgent alarm information to the relevant technical staff by SMS and Email.Currently, the alarm information of the Alarm System of HLS is divided into three types:limit, timeout and disconnected. According to the type and severity of alarm information, five different ways are used to issue alarm information for meeting the requirements of different users, they are GUI, voice, Web, SMS and Email. This system is stable and reliable since the operation in January2015, which could help the relevant technical staff deal with the alarm information efficiently.
