The Research Of Planning Strategies About Historical Style Conservation In Zhongmiao Town, Chaohu

Historic Towns and villages are human valuable historical heritage. It is not only a true portrayal of traditional culture and folk customs, but also a reflection of the local culture and social development.However, with the rapid development of today’s society and economy, the historical style of some traditional towns and villages in many places is destroyed, and some even precarious. How to protect traditional culture of these towns and villages to enable sustainable development, has become an urgent problem.Based on the research of planning strategies about historical style conservation in Zhongmiao town, Chaohu,the writer take the point of view that the protection should be under the guidance of the idea of sustainable development. The protection of its traditional style should combine its own construction with natural environment, so that it not only reflects the local social, cultural and economic characteristics, but also to meet the demand of modern life, work and entertainment so as to make nature, society, economy and technology combined perfectly in historical style conservation of traditional towns and villages.First, this paper reviews the development process and the research about related areas of history towns and villages at home and abroad. After that the writer investigates and studies the overall spatial pattern, street space, common node space, historic buildings, residential buildings and intangible cultural heritage in detail of present Zhongmiao town.Secondly, on the basis of the study about historical Style in present Zhongmiao town,the writer takes a combination of qualitative and quantitative method to comment the value of the town and then to derive its protected content. Then investigate the problems in the process of current historical style conservation and analysis the opportunities and challenges that the ancient town shall face in reality to reach development orientation of the town in future development.Thus that lay a good foundation for the following to put forward planning strategies about historical style conservation.Finally, the writer proposes three levels of protection strategies including macro policy strategy,micro technology strategy and implementation strategy for the historical style characteristics in Zhongmiao town to promote its sustainable development.Then point out shortcomings and future directions of this research so as to provide some useful information and reference to historical style conservation of other historical towns and villages.
