The Study Of Ancient Canal Landscape Design Based On The Spirit Of Place

The ancient canal as an important heritage landscape is valuable and rich landscape, is an important part of the canal city landscape design research, has the vital significance to the development of the city. However, with the expansion of the city, the construction of city modernization and urbanization, the real estate business destructive exploitation of this series of historic relics situation caused serious damage, the natural scenery and the ecological environment is broken, shops, streets, bridges cross canal landscape gradually disappear. Since 2014, the canal world heritage, the ancient canal’s value has been paid attention to, for the planning and design of the canal landscape gradually appeared a lot of research and case. In this paper, from the perspective of spirit of place, to the ancient canal as the research object, taking Huaian ancient canal landscape design as an example, in-depth study of the spirit of place of canal city landscape space design, tries to explore the design method of a kind of more reasonable, scientific to revive the canal landscape space a sense of place, to meet the needs of modern city residents demand.The spirit of place theory is introduced to study the landscape design of ancient canal, discusses the importance of landscape design of ancient canal spirit of place based on the practice at home and abroad, through the case study and the study of relevant theory, application mode, the ancient canal in the spirit of place with the experience and the spirit of place value system. The ancient canal landscape design landscape based on the spirit of place(including human natural places, places and people experience), design principles(including regional principle, the principle of time and space, the principles of humanity and ecological principles and design methods(fusion) of ancient canal cultural protection and inheritance, the symbol of the canal culture application of natural ecological and continuation and humanism). It summarized the concrete design method of the spirit of place based on the ancient canal, and selected the landscape of Huaian ancient canal as the research object, values the important role the canal space characteristics in urban planning, to guide the city to create a place in the connotation of the canal landscape.Domestic and foreign to the spirit of place works mainly focus on the field of architecture, research on landscape is gradually began to the ancient canal, the specific place of research is still relatively weak, this paper takes Huaian ancient canal landscape design as the research object, the landscape design methods and strategies to further deepen the spirit of the place as a starting point, the purpose is to reflect the heritage landscape value, the continuation of the ancient canal of history and culture, to reflect the human internal and external demand at the same time also gives its own unique life, embodies the respect for people and landscape.
