Strategy Research On Space Design Of Inpatient Area In Obstetrics Department Under The Humanistic Perspective

With the rapid development of Chinese economic society and improvement of the medical technology, the demands of the medical conditions and service facilities in hospitals have been increased. In the premise of meeting users’ demand, providing the humanistic medical space environment is the key point of designers.Based on relating theory of ergonomics, environmental behavior and environmental psychology, this article studies on inpatient area space of obstetrics department, analyzing deficiency in space layout and quality by through researching user’s needs and investigating space current situation. Moreover, the article summarizes the demand types and features of main users in ward space. Meanwhile, the article selects different types and different scales of obstetrical wards in hospitals to investigate the current situation of space, and analyzes and concludes the problems and deficiencies of obstetrical ward on the layout of functional space, quality of ward and medical room, and public space by combining users’ demand to ward space.On the basis of relevant theoretical study and empirical investigation, the article concludes the principles that the humanistic design for obstetrical ward space should comply with and then offer the strategy of humanistic design in the aspects of streamline organization, ward space, medical room, and public space.Based on the systematic analysis, summery, and research of practical proje ct-----the design of Changsha Anzhen Hospital, the article discusses the applicat ion of the strategy of humanistic design in the practical projects.By systematic study on humanized space design of inpatient area of obstetrics department, more concerns will be aroused to promote improvement of space environment around the inpatient area of obstetrics department, and it will give reference in future for humanized space design practice on inpatient area of obstetrics department.
