| Inland shipping industry in our country is developing rapidly, while there are also some problems, such as mixed ship type and pollution. Therefore, our country has focused on the standardization of inland ship type. And as one of the clean energy, LNG will be applied to the inland shipping industry gradually. Targeted on a 400-tons inland passenger ship, the selection and the arrangement of its propulsion plant are studied combined with the characteristics of its navigation waters.Firstly, with the analysis of target ship’s navigation waters and the current situation of ships sailing in the waters, it is concluded that the navigation waters of the target ship are deep-water and wide-channel areas. But there are still some issues, such as mixed ship type and unreasonable matching of main engine’s power.Secondly, the different power systems of inland ships are compared. And the propulsion system for the target ship is dual-fuel engine-reducing gearbox-FPP type. According to the design parameters of the target ship, the effective power is estimated preliminarily using the Zwaan Kopf method, and the propeller type of the target ship is four-blade B series. Then, the diameter of the propeller is also estimated preliminarily.Thirdly, the primary engine-propeller matching of the target ship is carried out and the main engine of the target ship is selected as the Z6170ZLC/S-6 engine. According to the final calculation of the engine-propeller matching, the results show that the diameter of the propeller is 0.98m and the optimized speed of the target ship is 12.49kn. On this basis, two LNG storage tanks for the target ship are designed, the volume and size of each tank is 4.15 m3 and 4.25m×1.7m respectively.Finally, according to the results of main engine selection and the parameters of the target ship, the main engines, propellers and the LNG storage tanks for the target ship are arranged in compliance with the corresponding rules. On this basis, the shafting of the target ship is designed.From the perspective of engineering application, this paper discusses the main propulsion system of the 400 tons inland river passenger ship. And it will be useful for the development of inland river LNG vessels and design of their main propulsion plant. |
