| The detection of water content in marine lubricating oil is known as an important indicator of the physical and chemical propriety, which is of magnificent significance. The detection is always carried out in the lab by means of conventional distillation at present. Though the experiment results can meet the basic requirements of the detection, there are many shortcomings in this way, the detections exhaust too much time and it needs a relatively stable situation besides these mere are too many instruments involved in the system. Because of these disadvantages the on-line real-time measurement is not available.The principle utilized is that sodium peroxide can reacts with the water mixed in the lubricating oil,oxygen is released in this reaction, the volume of oxygen is measured on the basis of the demarcating curve, the content of water can be calculated. A detection device was developed ultimately, this paper has made the following achievements.(1) Completing the design and manufacture of the device,using the high precision pressure sensor to collect the pressure changes in the signal, the pressure signal is disposed by the AVR single chip microcomputer.(2) Exploring the reaction process of sodium peroxide and water, selecting the anhydrous organic solvents to dissolute lubricating well and the reagent can catalyst in the process of reaction.(3) The relationship between water content and the pressure measured is explored in tins paper, the curve is fitted by means of least square method and programmed into the system. The control circuit and automatic control program are designed and debugged. A marine lubricating oil water content measuring appliance is assembled with a range of measurement from 0% to 1.2%.(4) The lubricating oil of different water content is measured by both conventional distillation and the experimental device, and the level of engineering application was measured. |
