As the aggravation of climate change,in recent years, heavy rains often submerged part of the constructions in the city, and floods submerged villages in the country, which makes concrete structures are immersed in water.Based on concrete water content tests, this paper researched on variety of concrete specimen under water content, variation of the strength and elastic modulus of concrete specimen under different water content,on difference of water content of different strength, size and section under the same soaking time,on the strength influenced by water content under different curing conditions. Also, this paper revised testing instrument by contrasting water content testing instrument and accurate value of water content tested by drying method.Based on the comparation of the experimental results and the theoretical results from the micro-mechanism of the concrete structure on the water condition, the paper identifies whether the results match with the principle. The results show that:it belongs to surface water absorption when the water content below 1%,and it is not obvious that the water content influencing on capability of concrete specimen. With the increasing of water content, the strength of concrete specimen decreased, especially the specimen under the natural curing condition which strength decreased rapidly. The results also show that the elastic modulus of specimen increased with the water content increasing, which is opposite to the specimen strength. Specimen size, specific surface area, strength and soaking time are all effecting on water content of concrete.By contrasting with the water content testing instrument, this paper sums up some of the attention during the practical application to lay a foundation for the field test.
