Design And Development Of An Infrared Absorption Device For Water Detection In Lubricating Oil In A Microfluidic Chip | | Posted on:2018-12-18 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:B Pan | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2322330512977112 | Subject:Marine Engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The moisture content is an important indicator to evaluate the quality of lubricating oil.If the moisture content in lubricating oil is too high,the performance of the mechanical equipment will be adversely impacted.It is of great significance to develop online detection technology and device for measuring moisture content of lubricating oil,to reliably ensure the safety and effective operation of ship machinery.In this paper,a device for detecting moisture content of lubricating oil was designed,which referred to the infrared absorption theory based on microfluidic chip technology.And the detection method was investigated.Specifically,the main research contents of this paper are organized as follows:(1)The moisture content of lubricating oil detection device was built.The appropriate optical elements were selected based on the characteristics that specific bands of infrared light is easy to be absorbed by water but not easily absorbed by oil.And the performance of the device was tested.The results showed that the device had good working stability and reliability and could be used to evaluate different moisture content of oil samples.(2)The effect of the magnitude of voltage pulse on moisture content of oil sample was tested.The relation curve between the magnitude of voltage pulse and the moisture content of oil sample was drawn.According to the relevant theories,the mathematical relationship between magnitude of voltage pulse and moisture content of oil sample was established.Results showed that the mathematical relationship has a good linear correlation with linear correlation coefficient R2=0.95.The experimental results were in agreement with the theoretical values.This relationship will lay the foundation for evaluating the moisture content by measuring the magnitude of voltage pulse.(3)The experiments of single factor of oil parameters(category,temperature and ferromagnetic impurities content)on the signal of the device were carried out.Results showed that oil parameters above had an impact on the magnitude of signal detection through changing the absorption coefficient of oil samples which resulted in different absorption capacity of the infrared light in the experiment.Through curve fitting and comparing the absorption coefficient of the corresponding samples,the variation of the infrared absorption capacity caused by different oil parameters was quantitatively evaluated.The research of this paper has some reference value for the development of new types of oil online moisture content detection technology and device based on microfluidic chips. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Microfluidic Chip, Infrared Absorption, Lubricating Oil, Moisture Detection, Oil Parameter | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
