Arctic route refers to the northeast route, northwest route and the floorboard of the north route. It passes through the Arctic ocean and connects the Atlantic and Pacific ocean. In recent years, along with the development of global warming, the ice of Arctic ocean melts gradually and makes the Arctic route fully opened to be reality. The prediction of the melting of sea ice at the current rate, Arctic route can realize navigable all the year around 2050.With the rapid development of China’s economy and increasing trade with Europe and North America, after the opening of the northeast route, it will greatly shorten the voyage, reduce operating costs, increase economic efficiency for shipping to Europe and North America. The opening of the Arctic route will promote the world economic center shift to Asia and bring huge opportunity for Chinese society, especially the northern port cities.This article elaborates the research background and significance, related research status domestic and overseas, and means of research firstly. This paper introduces the development history and status quo of the northeast route, then, especially to the mainly waters, channels and coastal ports in detail. Because of the lack of accurate data, it will use expert investigation method to determine the influence factors. And through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method evaluates the security of navigation by using the method of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis on the navigation environment influence factors.Finally, the article gives a summary of all the research content, and put forward some suggestions in order to ensure the safety of ship navigation and the life property safety of the crew.
